Hanoi-Quy Nhon direct air route launched

The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines officially launched a direct air route between Hanoi and Quy Nhon at Phu Cat air terminal in the central coastal province of Binh Dinh on January 16.

Hanoi-Quy Nhon direct air route launchedThe inauguration ceremony was attended by State President Nguyen Minh Triet and other leaders from relevant ministries and Binh Dinh and neighbouring province.

The airlines will operate three flights per week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, using Folker aircraft. The flights will depart from Hanoi at 6.45 am and arrive in Phu Cat airport at 8.25 am while taking off from Phu Cat at 9.15 am and landing in Hanoi at 10.55am.

The opening of the new air route has offered new opportunities for socio-economic development in Binh Dinh and neighbouring provinces such as Phu Yen, Gia Lai, and Kon Tum, contributing to promoting economic exchange between these provinces and the northern provinces.

This is the 29th domestic air route of Vietnam Airlines.
