Thai Airasia to open Bangkok – Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam route

Thai AirAsia was licenced to open its Bangkok – Ho Chi Minh City route. The airline will start flying the new route twice weekly starting April 4 this year.Thai Airasia to open Bangkok – Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City will become the airline’s second destination in Vietnam. Thai AirAsia, the Bangkok-based member of AirAsia Group, already flies three times daily to Hanoi Vietnam.

Bangkok – Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam flights will serve the airline’s guests every Monday and Friday. The flight from Bangkok leaves at 3:55 p.m. and arrives in Ho Chi Minh City at 5:25 p.m. The flight from Ho Chi Minh City leaves at 5:55 p.m. and arrives in Bangkok at 7:25 p.m. Flight time is one hour and 30 minutes.

 

Tassapon Bijleveld, Thai AirAsia CEO, said: “Thai AirAsia sees the growth of tourism in both Thailand and Vietnam. Given both cities’ rich histories and cultures, we foresee a very strong positive response to the opening of the Bangkok - Ho Chi Minh City route. We believe that our low fares will enable more of our valued guests to experience the variety of sights and flavors both cities offer.”

Thai AirAsia is celebrating the opening of the route with a 99-baht fare promotion that will run until March 9. Net prices (inclusive of airfare, taxes and fees) for seats booked online at www.airasia.com are as low as THB 1,809 for flights to Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam and as low as THB 1,659 for flights to Bangkok.
