South Korea calls on vote for HaLong Bay Vietnam

Vote for HaLong Bay Vietnam, the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture – Sports and Tourism and the South Korean Embassy in Vietnam on March 6 organized a ceremony calling on Korean people to vote for Halong Bay as one of the seven new world natural wonders.

At the ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Anh Tuan, South Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Im Hong Jae and Chairman of the Kumho Asiana Group Park Sam Gu voted for Halong Bay Vietnam.
According to Ambassador Im Hong Jae, 20 days after the banner calling the vote for Halong Bay placed on the Vietnamese website of the South Korean Embassy, 10,000 people had voted for Halong Bay Vietnam.
The South Korean Ambassador said he will continue advertising Halong to Korean investors and citizens who are working and living in Vietnam and call for their vote for this landscape.
In addition, Asiana Airlines will also advertise for Halong Bay Vietnam on their aircraft fleet.
The South Korean Embassy’s call for votes will help strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the development of Vietnam’s tourism.
South Korea is one of the biggest investors in Vietnam. Last year nearly 500,000 Korean visitors went to Vietnam.
More than 50,000 Korean people are living in Vietnam while 70,000 Vietnamese are studying and living in South Korea.
On March 6, Halong Bay still ranked first in the selection of seven new world natural wonders, followed by two other sites of Vietnam, the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park and Fansipan Mountain.
