Mekong Delta region waving in the national tourism year

The Mekong Delta region has organized a week of celebrations as part of the National Tourism events. This is the first time the Mekong Delta region has participated in the tourism promotion, which includes some 30 ceremonies and festivals held throughout the year in Can Tho City and other neighboring provinces.

The purpose of the annual event is to promote the region and introduce travelers to potential tourism destinations in the fertile delta region, which is renowned for its meandering networks of canals and arroyos and diversified ecosystems.

While exploring the paddy fields and orchards, which are laden with fruit all year round, local and international travelers will learn about the gracious customs and habits of the local people, and discover historic and cultural vestiges of the communities in the region.
