Tourism Association announces best hotel and most credited travel business

On June 4, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Tourism Association and website vietnamtourism.com.vn announced 20 candidates for the “best hotel and most credited travel business” title, selected by tourists.
The title is part of the annual top ten hotels and travel businesses award by the Vietnam tourism sector. In the first phase, collecting opinions from domestic and foreign tourists took place in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Halong, with nearly 40,000 surveys for domestic hotels and travel businesses.
Based on these suggestions, the organizing board selected 10 travel businesses and 10 hotels receiving the most votes for the second phase.
10 hotels include Caravelle (100 votes), Ben Thanh Rex (102 votes), Palm Garden Resort in Hoi An (200 votes), Horison in Hanoi (234 votes), Vinpearl Resort and Spa in Nha Trang (343 votes), Furama Resort in Danang (500 votes), Grand hotel in Ho Chi Minh City (123 votes), Yasaka Saigon Nha Trang Resort and Spa (123 votes), Sofitel Metropole Hanoi (342 votes) and Melia Hanoi (450 votes).
The 10 travel businesses are Saigontourist (100 votes), Guom Lake Diethlm (102 votes), Ben Thanh Tourist (230 votes), Fiditour (234 votes), Vietnam Tourism in Hanoi (343 votes), Hoa Binh Tourism and Peace Tours (250 votes), Vido Tour (123 votes), Huong Giang Tourist (342 votes), Hanoitourist (75 votes) and Sasco tourism and service center (125 votes).
The second phase has been implemented on the website www.vietnamtourism.com.vn for a month. The title is scheduled to be awarded in the middle of July 2008 by the Vietnam Tourism Association.
