Vietnam business in foreign travel

Vietnam business in foreign travel, in 2007, Vietnam tourism saw the establishment of an additional of 100 businesses operating in foreign travel, raising the figure to 605 so far, said the Vietnam National Tourism Administration under the Ministry of Culture, Sport, and Tourism.
Of this, there are 87 state businesses, 157 joint-stock companies, 12 joint-venture companies, 345 Ltd., Co, and 4 private businesses.
For Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) alone, more 28 travel businesses licensed for operation in 2007.
Travel businesses listed among top ten still remained its trademark, especially Saigon Tourism Corporation and Vietnam Tourism Company in Hanoi.
Over the past year, the tourism department of many localities dealt with businesses which did not follow the law and played a role as consultants for authorities levels in creating favorable business environment for businesses.
At present, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City leads nationwide in travel business operation.
