Thousands of international tourists to welcome New Year’s Eve in Hoi An Vietnam

International tourists to welcome New Year’s Eve in Hoi An Vietnam, the number of international tourists who are going to stay in the ancient town of Hoi An Vietnam to welcome in the Lunar New Year  2008 is expected to reach 3,000.

tourists to welcome New Year’s Eve in Hoi An VietnamThis is an increase of 20% over the previous year, announced the Hoi An Town People's Committee yesterday.  

Cultural activities and festival programs are scheduled throughout the town from 1-11 February  to entertain tourists and local people. 

These festivities include the Decoration Contest taking place from the evenings of 1 -11 February, the Spring Flower Festival from 1- 6 February and a variety show on Lunar New Year's Eve 2008.
 
Notably, fireworks are to be set off at Hoai River square to light up the night sky of the town and welcome the  Lunar New Year's.
