Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2008 kicks off

Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2008, on April 9, Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2008, titled: “Ninh Binh – Charming Landscape” officially kicked off, celebrating the 1,040th anniversary of the enthronement of King Dinh Bo Linh and the 1,000th founding anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi.

Ninh Binh Tourism WeekThe event will popularize and promote the cultural and historical values and typical products of the province.

The event will last until April 14 with many activities such as the traditional festival at Hoa Lu Ancient Capital; the inauguration of the Trang An ecotourism site and Bai Dinh Pagoda; cultural events at Vietnam’s capital during the Dinh and Ly dynasties; trade fairs; handicraft, bonsai and antique exhibitions; workshops; and some friendly competitions.

This is a good chance to review Ninh Binh’s tourism development over the past time and have orientation for the upcoming time in order to attract visitors to Ninh Binh and create better conditions drawing domestic and international investors to develop tourism in Ninh Binh, which is expected to become a spearhead economic sector.

Ninh Binh is famous for scenic destinations such as Tam Coc Grottoes dubbed “Halong Bay on Land”, Bich Dong Pagoda, Van Long Nature Reserve, and Cuc Phuong Primitive Forest, attracting thousands of travelers and holiday makers.
