This special tour design is a wonderful combination of exciting jungle trekking through the diverse flora and fauna of the National Park, and relaxing with an overnight rest in a traditional stilt home of the Muong ethnic minority. In addition to this, you will be taken on a local row boat trip along a small river in the karst landscapes of Van Long, Ninh Binh province.
Morning pick-up at your hotel is at 7:00 am. Then make a safe and comfortable journey, about 100 km by mini-van to Ninh Binh. We will arrive at Cuc Phuong National Park after about 3.5 hours and visit the Rescue Center to learn about the park's biodiversity and endangered species. Our long trek (18 km) begins here. A picnic lunch is served on the way. After about 5 hours of hiking through the life and songs of the local rain forest, we arrive at a village of the Muong minority people where we will take off our packs and relax at a Muong ethnic style homestay. Dinner, then free time to talk with the host family and learn about the Muong people’s life and culture. Overnight at the stilt home.
Breakfast is served at the village then goodbye with the villagers before our transfer to Van Long Nature Reserve. When we get there we will take a local rowboat trip along a small stream passing by rice paddies and through limestone caves. Rest and lunch at a local restaurant next to Van Long pier. After lunch, we return to Hanoi at about 4:30 pm.
