Kendrick School was one of eight UK secondary schools that came to Vietnam on a Footprint Vietnam Travel volunteer-educational tour. The students from the Kendrick school raised money and came to Vietnam to build a bridge in Mai Chau.

The bridge was built to provide a safe way for villagers to go to and from their village. Footprint noticed the badly damaged bridge on site tour earlier in the year and proposed the project to the school.

The Kendrick group was a group of 22 very enthusiastic students. Their trip included trekking in Pu Luong, visits to Hanoi, the project in Mai Chau, and rest and relaxation in Ha Long, Hue, Hoi An.
