Very recently (March 2012) a group of Canadian dental hygiene students - all girls - raised funds and planned a volunteer tour to Vietnam. For the 10-day trip to Vietnam the students prepared dental hygiene lesson plans, songs and games, as well as packed nearly 1000 donated toothbrushes and several gifts.

On the trip the group visited schools in Sapa and Ha Long Bay, as well as an orphanage for special needs children and delivered dental hygiene training and toothbrushes. Everywhere the groups visited they were well-received by enthusiastic children.

Trekking in Sapa, a Hanoi city tour, as well as a private cruise on Ha Long Bay was also part of the trip’s itinerary. The trip was an experience of a lifetime for both the Cambrian students and Footprint Vietnam Travel!
