We will visit the historic DMZ, the partition of North & South Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh trail, and infamous historical war sites. In addition, we will visit the Ta Oi ethnic minority and stay the night at their traditional communal home. Great option for those who love culture & history.
Depart your hotel at 8:00 am. We will transfer to A Luoi (60 km) on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. On arrival in A Luoi town, our driver will drop us at the start our trek up to the infamous Hamburger Hill, also known as Hill 937. On the summit of the hill take in the panorama of the surrounding area, the airport, and combat base. Lunch at a local restaurant at A Luoi town.
In the afternoon, visit the Ashau village - a violent battlefield during the war, and also severely hit with dioxin poison. We then travel to A Roang village along the Ho Chi Minh trail, taking a rest at a local hot spring. Finally, we will arrive atAka Chi village where we meet and learn about the Ta Oi people. Have dinner in their traditional stilt house and try local delicacies, as well as enjoy a cultural show. Overnight at the traditional communal house.

Wake up early morning and enjoy the fresh air and peaceful mountainous area. Leave the village to have breakfast at A Luoi town. Later we drive along the Ho Chi Minh trail via Dakrong bridge with chances to see houses of several hill tribes in the Central Vietnam such as the Ta Oi, Ka Tu, Paco, and Van Kieu. Stop to visit Khe Sanh Combat Base before getting to Dong Ha town for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will visit Con Tien and Doc Mieu Army Base, Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River, and the 17th Parallel. Driving along Cua Tung beach to Vinh Moc tunnels, known as the second most famous tunnel system after Cu Chi. Transfer back to Hue at around 6:00 pm.
