The amazingly beautiful Ba Be lakes and surrounding area is truly unspoiled. Footprint offers a three-day tour that includes boating into all three lakes, some short walking in Ba Be National Park and staying in a traditional stilt house of the Tay ethnic minority.
Pick-up from your hotel at 7:00 am leaving for Bac Kan. During the 6 hour drive we will stop at Thai Nguyen city to visit Vietnam’s Museum of Ethnology. Continue on until will reach Bac Kan town for lunch at a good local food stall. At around 3:00 pm we arrive at a Tay minority village inside Ba Be National Park. Check into our homestay and refresh with a short leisurely walk around the park and maybe some swimming if the weather permits. Back home for dinner and conversation about the local culture before bedtime.
Wake up to birds chirping. Breakfast then start the day's explorations by local boat. We glide along the lakes and river, through a pretty cave, and on to a powerful waterfall. The whole journey offers great natural scenery. After lunch at a local food stall near the waterfall, we boat back into the tranquility of Ba Be Lakes. Take the opportunity to have a refreshing swim. Finish the day trekking through ethnic minority villages and back home. Dinner then sleep the second night at the stilt house.
