Bai Tu Long Bay is my favorite spot in the north of Vietnam. Not so far from Ha Long, one of Footprint's relaxing cruises on one of Footprint's brand new boats allows you see the true wilderness of the bay. With long and smooth sand banks and clear water waves, Bai Tu Long Bay is associated with a sweet beauty and a sound of silence.
I love architecture and I love My Son. Honourably recognized as a World Heritage in 1999, the My Son Holy Land is captivating in various cultural values. It is extremely useful and meaningful for those interested in Southeast Asian culture. The area owes its core to ancient Cham culture. Although time and war have destroyed some of the towers, the remaining sculptural and architectural remnants still reflect the style and history of the art of the Cham people. Truly an invaluable heritage site.
Mui Ne might not be everyone's favorite spot but it has been mine since 2001. All the resorts include beautifully landscaped gardens with rooms set among tropical palm trees. Not only lying down on the white sandy beach, we can participate in numerous water sports on the beaches of Mui Ne, such as windsurfing and kite boarding.
Tip for Halong: It might be difficult for you to choose a different name rather than Ha Long but it's my always my highest ranked suggestions to choose Bai Tu Long Bay.
Tip for My Son: It's really worth half-day trip to My Son. You can learn so many interesting facts about the Cham.
Tip for Mui Ne: If you like to visit local fish markets then wake up at about 5.30 am for Mui Ne's. This is one of the daily life activities of the local fisherman and so interesting for us visitors.
